Welcome to Creative Movie Night

This isn’t homework—just a movie night with a bit more attention. You’ll watch something, notice what lands, and capture a few thoughts before they fade.

Before You Begin

  • Pick a film or episode that feels interesting, not just “important”
  • Decide if you’ll watch alone or with others
  • Have something to write on nearby

Flow of the Evening

1. Set Up (10 minutes)

  • Dim the lights, arrange seating, and set out snacks
  • Jot down 1–2 questions you’re curious about (e.g., “What scene will stay with me?”)

2. Watch (Length of film)

  • Let yourself watch without pausing too often
  • If you feel moved, note a time stamp, line, or image that stands out

3. Reflect (10–20 minutes)

  • After the film, write a few lines:
    • “This is what stayed with me…”
    • “This reminded me of…”
  • If with others, share one moment or line each and talk briefly about why

Variations & Ideas

  • Series: Turn this into a monthly movie or series club.
  • Theme nights: Choose films around a theme (cities, friendships, food).
  • Creative response: Draw a scene, write a quick paragraph, or create a tiny playlist inspired by the film.
